Casas Cincuenta y Cinco
Proyecto 55 is an urban infill townhouse development located in the “Centro Historico” in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. UDG's redevelopment plan for this vacant, rare-to-market historic district parcel included an architectural design and a site plan that both met the current market demands and maintained its financial viability, while also obtaining the difficult endorsement of the governing historic commission. The final plan was notable for its interpretation of the vernacular architectural style and its maximization of indoor and outdoor livable area. Its success has been validated with all units going under contract prior to the start of construction, with the completion date of all units occurring in 2015.
